this is what the quote should have said👇

If at first you don't succeed…

…destroy all the evidence you tried.

That's what the quote should have said, right? Feels a little more realistic that way! 😉

We’ve all had those moments (or days!) when our best just doesn't feel good enough.

Maybe you made a bad investment that’s costing you big time, your flight back home got cancelled, your WiFi went out during your important Zoom meeting, or you just picked up the wrong coffee at Starbucks.

(And now you’re stuck with a plain peppermint tea when you really needed that extra boost of caffeine!)

When you're feeling defeated, remember the wise words of F. Scott Fitzgerald:

This quote reminds me of how important it is to celebrate the small successes and learn from those moments of failure and defeat.

Both are learning opportunities—and also part of being human!

When I face failure, here’s my secret: I re-frame it.

Instead of seeing failure as a closed door slammed in my face, I see it as re-direction. Sure, this door might be closed…but what other opportunities can I find that might be even better? Re-framing failure and defeat is a win in itself!

Your Action Step: Try re-framing your next failure. Don’t view it as defeat. View it as re-direction or an open door that you just can’t see yet.

Take a breath, learn from it, and use your experience to inform your next decision with even more wisdom.

Remember, with every failure there is always another chance at change.

Now that’s something worth celebrating 🧡

With gratitude,

Jamie
