it's time to make a choice

One of my favorite things is taking something that is broken, old, or neglected and turning it into something beautiful. 

Whether it's a house that just needs a little love, a room that needs a complete makeover, a situation that needs a little positivity, or a country like Cambodia that needs massive change, I love seeing beyond the present and imagining a better, brighter, and more beautiful outcome. 

When given something ugly, I want to make it beautiful. A great metaphor for life, right? 

That's why I love this week’s quote so much. 

Each of us have a choice: We can choose to view the ugly and broken parts of life as failures. We can dwell on the negative.

Or, we can choose to make the best out of bad times – and think outside of the box in the process. Hence…making orange juice out of lemons 😉

The hard situation you might find yourself in probably isn't going to change. But your attitude and perspective can. 

The biggest, boldest, difference makers in our world didn’t let hard or ugly situations slow them down. 

They weren't defined by what life threw at them. Instead, they were ultimately defined by how they responded to it. 

You can choose to do the same, my friend. 

Your Action Step: When life gets tough, choose to make it beautiful. Think outside the box. Choose to see the situation not for what it is…but what it could become.
